Leanna, Libby, and I were just discussing Christmas. We thought of one possible possibility to possibly consider. How fun does a cruise sound to you!!? We think it could be pretty exciting. Nobody has to slave in the kitchen, lots of time as a family, and a change of scenery from shivery Minnesota... We could get a 7-day cruise for around $500 from California, and also from other places like Alabama and Florida...What does everybody think? It might be out of the price range, and people (Ryan and Heather) might be with the Brockbank family. We should figure things out before prices for everything start to jump!

This has some potential. Mom and I have also discussed the possibility of renting a cabin in the mountains to stay at for a few days; we need to chat some more. At a minimum, Emily will be able to give us a full trip report and we will be in a better position to plan a year from now. Dad

I couldn't find a 4 day cruise leaving between 1/27-31 that was less than about $600 pp. Pls advise. dad
So, another option we're looking at is to possibly rent a house/cabin in Utah. Any suggestions on location? There is one option near Sundance--but I am now thinking perhaps you want to get out of the neighborhood a bit. I am thinking...mountain home/cabin--within a few hours of Provo--so that we don't spend too much time driving.
