my conference thoughts...

Since no one has, I thought I'd start this off with my thoughts...

I thought conference was wonderful! I was lucky enough to be able to watch all of the sessions & it was really great. I think my favorite parts of conference were the themes of hope and living the gospel happily. I think that is really important, especially if we are trying to share the gospel with others. We as members always claim that the gospel brings us a lot of joy, but some people do not live very happily, so I thought it was a really good message. For my marriage/family class some of our readings were on the topic of love and how if we truly love others we will have great patience to overlook negative things that may happen. I really enjoyed learning about those two topics together, & they seem to have been reaffirming other things that I've been learning a lot in the last couple of months. I have just been learning to not let little things get you down, especially when they are because of the actions of others. Conference added on to this by basically saying that I need to live happily and lovingly regardless of any other issue in my life. I really appreciated that. I loved President Monson's directness when he said "find joy in the journey NOW!"

For Mom, Dad, & Leanna, I would DEFINITELY suggest going back & listening to/reading the talks....it is so worth it because the talks were really wonderful sources of hope.

I liked so many of the other talks too that it is hard to pick just that one theme, but that was the main theme that I took from conference. :) I'll be excited to hear what you all think too! I know that Mom, Dad, & Leanna didn't get to see Sunday's, but hopefully Ryan, Heather, Mark & Libby can comment on that too....and the rest of us can comment on whatever sections we did get to see!!! :) love you all!!


ooh and I liked the theme about unity. I think that it is an important principle that is sometimes overlooked, but is something I know I can be better at.... :)
