BANFF MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL

I loved watching the movies at the Banff Mountain Film Festival last night!!! They were amazing. I was so inspired.

I hope to watch this every year - yes, the tour comes to MN too -

I left this movie thinking that life is full of incredible experiences...I hope to be more passionate about the things I love...and to be more adventurous (at least try some new things...)!

My favorite video of the night was "Journey to the Center" - a movie about three BASE  jumpers who travel to a cave in China (that's 1/2 mile deep) to do an incredible BASE jump. It was crazy watching them jump, but SUPER exciting.

Here's a link to watch a quick trailer of the movie: JOURNEY TO THE CENTER TRAILER It's a thriller!!!!!

Thanks, Ryan & Heather, for inviting us - it was nice spending time together, watching such exciting & breathtaking footage!!

Maybe I will move out to Utah...cause I think I may have stumbled onto a new hobby!!! Only 100 sky dives to go....

VERTIGO BASE OUTFITTERS

This BASE gear manufacturer offers a Friday-to-Sunday BASE jumping course for those who have made 100 sky dives. Marta Empinotti-Pouchert and Jimmy Pouchert, co-owners of the company, teach the class. The course culminates in a jump off the Perrine Bridge, for $1,500 (435-259-1085; www.vertigobase.com).
