Malibu
Malibu has been a lot of fun! Today Ryan and I took a tour of Pepperdine Law and sat down with some counselors. We had a great visit. We had the chance to meet some of the people we wanted to meet, so it was good. We still left with a little bit of an uneasy feeling in our stomach but that's okay. That school is just so competitive to get into - even with great letters of recommendation. We've enjoyed the sunsets, Ryan has been a hoot on this trip. He went swimming in the ocean with Taylor - they had quite an adventure out at sea. The boat ended up tipping over - and well I'll let Ry tell you the rest some other time. I unfortunately have caught a dreadful cough - Ryan's cough from a week ago. I am miserable. But it's okay. It's kind of my luck that when I try to go on vacation I end up getting sick. I'll admit, I am kind of anxious to get home... I miss Jasper!
Malibu isn't quite what we were expecting. It's a really low key town. Ryan and I ate at the most amazing Thai place this afternoon! I had never had such amazing Thai food. Seriously... good! The key to going out to eat for us these days is to ask what the waiter suggests, it's always turned out to be amazing! We had this egg plant dish with chili something or other and basil leaves. PHENOMENAL!
Classic Love! He's so cute. This was after the boat cap sized. It's actually pretty cold this weekend. It rained for more than half of the day today.

Heather!
No pic's of you! Sorry you're sick... bad husband! Hey Ryan: Don't give your wife germs! It's not fair that Heather can't go on a vacation without getting sick. Glad you got to meet the folks at Pepperdine. Ryan sounded really excited on the phone. Also, Jasper is the cutest little puppy ever (except Kip & Bella)! He's adorable. Even I miss him! Hope you have a good time the rest of the weekend. Nice to have Monday off. Love you! MOM
P.S. Someday..... OTIS :)
haha! Thanks Cindy. Yeah, today has been a lot of worse than yesterday. I didn't think I could get any worse... but I could. At least now I am completely drugged up. Plenty of tylenol PM in my system too! I am going to sleep tonight.
Love,
Heather
Sounds like your trip to Malibu will be a memorable one--at least for surfin Ryan. Heather, sad to hear that you're under the weather--seems you can leave Provo without getting hit with some bug. Enjoy the sea shore...the rest of us are stuck with winter weather...so, enjoy! In honor of President's day, we had cherry pie for dessert tonight! Love, Dad
heather...hope you're feeling better...ryan, i'm SO SO SO jealous of your surfing...that's one thing i've always wanted to try!
hope you two had a great trip together...if you're back in time tomorrow, we might try & go snow-shoeing...if you're feeling up to it, you should come along. by the way, i LOVE the MALIBU-sign picture. sweeeeet!!
love you.

Heather, I was thinking that you, and you alone, should make the decision as to which law school to attend. Heck, for three years Ryan will be spending all of his waking hours in some old law library--so you should pick a community that you'll enjoy (I'd personally go with the beachside venue). We're all pulling for you in the application process! Get well soon! Dad M
Nate...did you post that Bad Bucky picture? Ugly dude.
(What does a bad looking chestnut (sorry, buckeye nut) look like??
