I am so excited to come to Minnesota this weekend. I don't know if all you out East have heard - but Utah is having the wettest June on record. It is currently raining outside and the sun has barely been out in the last three days.
It's been kind of a gloomy week all around. We found out Grandma Miller has cancer - so horrible. And then on top of things, my parents neighbors lost one of their daughters in a car accident sunday night. Very sudden... she was driving home on the freeway and hit a barrier - they suspect alcohol. Her name is Kristan, very nice girl, she's been a little wayward but working on getting back on track with her life. Life is so fragile. Tanner's girlfriend was really good friends with her and it's been very demoralizing for her. Kristan's mother was working on a quilt for her and was going to give it to her for her birthday, it's not quite finished, so her friends are going to finish it tonight and they are going to bury her in it. Very touching...
I am really excited to celebrate something really happy like a wedding, nothing better to heal the soul than to see two fabulous individuals united! I think we should really try and make this weekend really happy despite the obstacles before us - the move, grandma miller's health, possibly bad weather - who knows. But this is a super happy time!
