Happy 4th of July weekend!! (the photo above is of a man making homemade fireworks...I guess making homemade "pinwheel fireworks" was the chief industry for the town "zoogocho, mexico" back in March of 1954...)
Nate & I are spending the night with mom & dad tonight....(hoping to hit the driving range with dad tonight!!) and then we're off to Wisconsin tomorrow, to spend the afternoon with Grandma & Grandpa!!! YAY!!
We'll drive up to the cottage after our visit with the Millers...and spend the weekend up at the lake! I LOVE the 4th of July at the lake....I'm sad Emily won't be there this year **I'm sorry you each won't be there...but Emily has been my 4th of July pal for the last couple of years....popcorn on the boat, while watching the fireworks....lighting off our own fireworks (yikes! that was a little scary!!)**
This year, I'll be there with my cute little hubby & fantastic parents & papa-roo!!! Should be a blast....Nate & I are "tenting" it - (we'll see how THAT goes!!! I'm not sure if you remember...but the last time Nate & I slept in a tent...in Moab...it was quite entertaining!!) Hopefully it'll be lots of fun!
We will be bringing along our new PANINI maker & making some panini sandwiches for the fam!! Yum! I'm most excited for: the fireworks (love them!!) and water-skiing! I'm very interested to see Nate up on skiis. I think it should be an excellent weekend.
I love the 4th....I love the nation-wide patriotism & the fun memories that are shared!
I hope you each have a wonderful weekend....and steer clear of any "handmade-fireworks" (those things are sure to be crazy!) Love you all!
