Quality of Life

About 10 years ago we visited San Diego, with a side trip to La Jolla--which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. There is a beautiful cove and beach which can be enjoyed year-round. There is also a park adjacent to the ocean. Next to the park there are condos--each having a beautiful view of the ocean.

One evening I recall walking past the condos, seeing all the TVs on and thinking, "their quality of life isn't any different than anyone else in the country." It's not the home you live in, but the life you live inside that home.

Our children all live in fairly modest dwellings, but I am certain the same adage applies, "it's not the home you live in, but the life you live inside that home."

Very true. I need to remember this more often!

Right now, the hard part for me is getting off the computer! It can really become a bad habit.

A home can be such a happy place, no matter the view. I do love an ocean view!! But, I am happiest enjoying the view inside Adelie's crib :)
