Post surgery

Well, it's been eight days since mom's surgery. The doctor was really pleased with the surgery and her report was all positive. Mom came home on Monday and it's been a challenge since then (not that it was easy in the hospital). She's still having trouble with the pain--and the doctors have been unwilling to adjust her pain medication.

The good news is that her physical therapy has gone pretty well--she's able to achieve a decent range of motion (with, of course, a fair amount of pain).

So...life now flips between being drowsy on meds and being in pain. Not so much fun. The good news is that this should pass--and life will be better with a new knee!
