Anyone like their hair dryer?

I'm buying a new hair dryer in the next few days. First time in over 5 years that I'm looking to buy. My mom would buy Austin these miniature men hair dryers and when mine died, I would just steal his from his bathroom. He wouldn't notice for months. He doesn't care enough to blow dry his hair. Surprisingly survived for a long time. Mine just died after having a very slow death over the last month. It's definitely dead now though.

Do any of you ladies like your blow dryers? Lelers, I know you blow dry your hair often. What do you use? There are these numbers/letters/technology savy jargon that I am just not up on! I figure anything will be better than these low powered men hair dryers I've been using. But I want to buy one I like, is it worth it to spend a little more money on one? Emily, Libby? Petes, Nate - I'm sure you guys have an opinion! haha. Just curious, somehow even my mom ends up buying these really crappy hair dryers she hates. I just want one that gets the job done. This is when sisters come in handy... ladies -

I'll have to get back to you on that. I like mine but I have to see what it is called. I feel like blowdryers are really hit or miss.

I wish I could help you on this one...but, mine isn't very good at all. It's just a cheap target one...it does the trick, but I definitely would love a better one. I really hate mine.

I did splurge and get a chi blow dryer once (actually...I think Nate bought it for me when we were dating)...anyway, I would not recommend it. It broke within a couple months of owning it...and then I exchanged it for a new one, and that one broke too...started blowing smoke!!!!! Yikes! No good...and overpriced.

If I were buying a new one today, I would buy a 'hot tools' one...I just looked on ulta.com and it looks like they have a good selection. It seems like all my stylists use the hot tools dryers! You'll have to let me know what you get...I should really invest in a new one, since I blow my hair alllll the time!

Thanks for the input guys! Super helpful - I'm so glad you mentioned that Lelers. I have CHi straightener and I've had it for almost ten years now, so I thought their blow dryers might be worth buying. I"m not going to try my luck on one of those though. I have a hot tools curling iron and I love it. I might try that. Let you know if I find anything good!

I have a conair ion shine 1875...its blue and comes with a diffuser and a little air focuser thing (i don't know what its called)

I like it. Its nothing special. I have heard really good things about the hot tools dryer though. my hairstylist said its the lightest for round brushing your hair. but it's more expensive
