Okay, so you've all been waiting for this post--well, maybe not everyone! Take a good look, as you may not see this again--a first place finish. The moral of the story is not that I am a great triathlete. My lesson is that if you continue to work at things, and stay in the game, your persistence will eventually pay off!
Work hard. Have some fun.
Love,
Dad

Dad,
That is great! I am so impressed! I can hardly get myself out to run a couple miles these days. You are so consistent, even when you're busy and stressed! You have definitely earned this! Way to go!
I'm so glad you posted this! I was waiting!!!
Congrats, dad. You deserve that 1st place for sure. You are so persistent & hard working & a definite inspiration to me. I can't tell you how many times I've gone running & thought of your example. I'm certain the only way I survived the SanDiego Marathon was knowing you were ahead of me, leading the way. You are (and have been) such a great example & I'm glad you're able to celebrate your hard work.
I do have one complaint though....next time you have a podium finish (at a race I was watching...), I do not want to learn about it on twitter! Feel free to brag a little!! You deserve to celebrate & be excited about your accomplishments!!! :)
Good work Pete!! I wish we had stayed around for the award ceremony!!
Hopefully the prize was a new pair of shorts....looks like the man to your left could use something new in a bigger size
Yes, Nate, the sport is infamous for its compression shorts. I am guessing that he ran his through the dryer too many times.
hahaha! The comments! Pete, I'm always amazed at your athletic ability and persistence. This is truly incredible! Way to go!
