In the upper Midwest, we all know that the first sign of spring is the arrival of the first Robin. Well, that's unless you live on a lake. The first sign of spring here is that the ice houses are taken off the lake. You don't have to belong to the Sierra Club to know that having a collection of ice houses sink to the bottom of the lake can't be a good thing. I am pleased to announce that the DNR deadline for moving the ice houses off the lake and into spring/summer/fall storage is...drum roll please...tomorrow (March 7). So, spring is right around the corner (once the 2-3 feet of ice melts)!!
Has anyone seen my wife lately?
