North Shore

Trip report...we had a nice trip to the north shore last weekend. We stayed two nights at a cabin that was about 25 yards from the water. The winds blew throughout our visit--so we were able to enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks. The lake was pretty quiet; I think we saw more ocean-going ships than sport boats. The highlight of the trip was college football on Saturday; Michigan State beat up on Notre Dame! Did I digress? Actually, the cabin didn't have a TV. The highlight was sitting on the beach (sandless) at night, tending to our fire. It was very peaceful--watching the moon come up and listening to the waves. We were able to do a bit of hiking. We scouted out some beautiful shoreline and rivers and waterfalls. Pictures will follow--once we figure out how to upload on to this PC (us old people can't afford MACs). So, we had a nice trip...very relaxing. I am sure we will do it again--perhaps at the same resort. They have six cabins...most nicer than ours...but all fairly inexpensive. Okay, so there you have it--sans pictures! Hope you're all working hard this week and working hard at doing some good! Love, Dad
