Easter!

So I don't know about all of you - but I have always loved Easter. It's such a great holiday. Mason has actually taken the liberty of informing my mother months in advance that it's his "favorite" holiday.  What has got me into this mode of really thinking "bunny" is that I walked into Williams Sanoma yesterday with my mom - they make these super sweet pancake pans that people just go nuts over, and she really wanted it. This all started because we were looking at the catalog over lunch. This is what we ended up walking out with:

We also got this raspberry filling that you can poor inside of the pancakes - they called it Raspberry Ecstasy. I think we should all get together and make these. I have the mix too.

I also threw this Zester into our purchase. So I don't know about you other ladies out there, but it seems like any really great dessert, or even meal calls for some fruit zest - especially lime zest. Well... we have never had a zester. Mason is my little helper in the kitchen and his excellent memory recalled seeing a commercial for what they call a "Pet - Egg" it's essentially a callous remover. But they were showing it work its magic on an orange and it zested it perfectly. So one afternoon in the kitchen and I am like trying to peel of the skin of a lime and it's just not working - he's like I have an idea. He disappears and when he comes back he has this little grater thing. He gets right to work, and after the meal I am like what was that, I had no idea we had a zester where did you get that? Then he tells me it was mom's pet egg - and it's for feet! Haha. He did wash it, and have to admit we used it in the future, we just put in the dish washer first.  It worked just like a zester. So that's the story behind our need for a zester.

So finally we got these babies - these are my favorite. They are homemade Cadbury eggs. They are delicious, very chocolaty. When I was young I would take these everywhere and just occasionally pop one in my mouth. If any of you are interested please come oves and sample. We bought two boxes, and not to mention how many boxes of girl scout cookies we have in the cupboard - sometimes it's nice to have this stuff disappear.

So how you should spend this Easter morning? Well, let me tell what Ryan and I will probably be doing. I found out about this by a friend, and we want to do it this year -  Spend Easter morning up at the peak of Snowbird. Snowbird offers free-tram rides from 5:00am - 7:00am. You can ride the chair lift up for free and watch the sunrise. It's beautiful. Here is  link to find some more information.

I also wouldn't mind finding some cute bunnies to go pet and play with - I've looked for some bunny farms in Provo. Don't look yourself, all I found were links to sex sites  - Yikes!

So, I made the pancakes - I guess the proper term is to call them Escalaviers. We put some Rasberry in the middle, and they were really good. You could totally make the mix from scratch - the only ingredient that would be a little pricey is vanilla bourbon Pretty much everything else is easy!
