Softball glove

As a follow-up to my previous post, one example of our circumstances that is often cited by my parents has to do with my Cub Scout softball experience. As I recall, we played Cub Scout softball for three years (first, second, and third grades). For the first and second years we didn't have a left-handed glove in the family. I was left handed. That required me to use a right handed glove. I was playing second base at the time and whenever a ball was hit to me I needed to catch it, take off the right handed glove (worn on the left hand)--and throw the ball. More than a bit clumbsy--but I think I did it skilfully (with plenty of practice). Anyway, I think my parents were publicly shamed (all in good fun) by the other parents to eventually buy me a glove that I could use.

Dad

p.s. When Ryan and Mark played Cub Scout softball I was the coach. The three of us (and aided in a small part by an eventual Olympic athlete-Tucker Fredericks--were able to win the city championship--taking home the hugh trophey to Harrison School!

ha! I would love to sit down sometime and watch all available Miller sports videos...especially the pre 1995 ones!

I have heard about Ryan's soft ball days. The idea about being outside throwing a baseball on the beach sounds really appealing right now - it's raining here.

But, it is my last day of work - which I'm so excited about! Wahoo

Love,
HB

Mark--You might be able to advance beyond the Weblo rank if you'd start wearing your uniform once in awhile.

Leanna--yes, we'll try to bring the videos out to Ogden.

Heather--swing by and pick us up, we'd love to go to the beach with you!
